The new Minimalist Gmail Firefox Extention coupled with a few labs tweaks makes for a decidedly more harmonious Gmail experience - I don’t like poorly designed sites with excessive noise stifling purpose. That said, Gmail has always been good, this just makes it a lot better.
It’s a little geeky, but I wont lie, I was doing some server-side admin on ATTN:Magazine the other day when I came across this - my heart skipped a beat. When you’re developing a site that needs to be as scalable as this does, nothing makes life easier. More journalism-related entries coming soon, promise.
Six hours of solid coding and designing got me and Dan Duke to about here. ATTN:Magazine is still very much in a state of public BETA (hence the placeholder text for articles) but I’m pretty happy with how it’s turned out. I’m also going to be collaborating on a lot of of projects with Dan in the near future as his right-hand-coding-man, pretty excited about it all.
I know it seems a little lame having my own website up here, but I’m damn proud of it. Yeah, it’s based on a theme by the wonderful Peter Vidani but I definitely feel I’ve given it my own stamp with tweaks to the left menu using div styling to make it static, the rollover menu button, and other bits & bobs. Why use tumblr to create an online portfolio? Well, why not?
